TmoleX 4.2 (Windows) crashes without error message
« on: September 20, 2016, 01:29:11 PM »
Hi,

I have downloaded and installed TmoleX 4.2 on a windows machine and intend to use it for anlaysis/visualization of results from TURBOMOLE calculations run on a
supercomputer without aid of TMoleX. Loading the files seem to work but as soon as I try to visualize the system it crashes and closes the program without an error message. Opening the 3D molecular builder in a new project also crashes the system. Any suggestions on what to do?

Best regards,
Francesca

Hello,

if TmoleX crashes when trying to open the 3D viewer, I assume a problem with the graphic card driver. TmoleX 4.2 uses a newer OpenGL and Java version. I'd recommend to contact the Turbomole support to get a version which uses older libraries.

Regards,
